Evil
= left hand of God
More than one truth can pertain to a situation
People use truth for another purpose:
complain, rationalize,
excuse, put others down
Roots are as essential as limbs.
Mechanical talking = tennis game
Tone of voice, method of presentation > engenders auto-response
You never know a person/self until you have another place to stand:
Evil =
- it doesn't matter
- you won't get caught
- lies
- feeds your vanity and self-love
- temptation: Whore of Babylon principle
The good don't prosper in this world.
Evil goes unpunished.
Evil tells you what you want to hear.
- Talks With A Devil Principle
It is never easy to do the right thing.
Right = harder
Right = more effort
Right = more time
Only doing what is evil in God's eyes (Book of Judges) is easy!
People prefer the darkness because they look better in it.
Value of a good idea
Life is a never-ending process
of building up and tearing down
Light and shadow are evenly matched
Good and Evil are both supposed to be there
Each opposite engenders the other
For example, in nature there are:
continental shifts in the
Badlands of North Dakota used to be the sea;
These are shifts in the weather, i.e. Egypt used to be a fertile
rain forest 10,000 years ago;
In civilizations - age of barbarism
age of enlightenment - waking up
flowering - the bud - the fruit
the fall
the planting of the seed.
10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's
look back, you'll see
things/possibilities which were unheard of 20 years ago are essential
today. We can't imagine a houseful of servants, a leisurely lifestyle,
dressing for dinner. Interpersonal Behavior: used to be vestal virgin,
now it's intercourse along with the kiss. Used to be men were the
boss, women were second-hand citizens. Used to be full-time wives/mothers.
Now nobody is raising our own children.
We are a society/civilization that has become the polar opposites
of the Puritan ideal.
We 'flowered' when we focused on God
We descended into hell when we no longer could see/believe in anything
other than ourselves.
